Ford Power Promise Offers Free Home Chargers to New EV Owners

Ford has just announced its Ford Power Promise program, designed to address and resolve the fears and hesitations that many consumers face when thinking about electric vehicles. There is still much uncertainty surrounding charging, whether that be accessibility, the amount of time it takes to charge, or battery life. Ford’s first step in assuaging these concerns was giving Ford electric vehicle owners an adaptor in order to access Tesla’s superchargers. Their next step? Provide EV owners peace of mind and convenience with the Ford Power Promise. Jeff Belzer’s Ford is excited to walk you through the details.
What is the Ford Power Promise?
Home is Where the Charge Is
As of October 1, 2024, Ford is providing a free home charger to every customer when they purchase or lease an electric vehicle (Mustang Mach-E, F-150 Lightning, or E-Transit). Consumers have the option of taking it home with them on the day of purchase, or having it delivered to their home. Ford not only gives you a complimentary charger, but they also pay for standard home installation of this charger. This is a huge game changer for EV buyers, as the most common concern is the accessibility of charging.
Charging On-The-Go
Although you will have a home charger, it does not take away from the need of charging on the road when necessary. That’s why Ford has created the BlueOval Charge Network, which maps out the various charging stations per network, including Tesla superchargers and Electrify America. With your connected navigation in the vehicle, it adds charging stops to your route automatically, and you can even pay with your FordPass Account at the station.
Battery Warranty
Ford provides an eight-year, 100,000 mile high-voltage battery warranty. There is still a lot of hesitancy with EV batteries, so Ford wants to help relieve that worry.
Ongoing Support and Guidance
Complimentary roadside assistance is available to all EV owners if their range gets too low. There is also a 24/7 Ford advisor available to you so that you can talk or text with a real person if you need it.
Building Customer Confidence
Ford aims to build trust and confidence with their new EV customers from day 1. One of the most common concerns when it comes to electric vehicles is the issue of charging, and Ford resolved that by offering a complimentary home charger and installation. This is a huge relief for many people, and a big deciding factor when looking at purchasing an EV. It reduces the amount of time spent at charging stations around your city and is as easy as charging your phone.
The Ford Power Promise is a great step by the manufacturer to make an electric vehicle more consumable to the public. With EVs being so new in the market, there are still many unknowns, fears, and hesitations around many topics. Ford’s goal is to create a network of resources that you can rely on for charging on the go, or if you encounter any issues on the road. Their complimentary home charger and installation is a great benefit to new EV owners, and right now it is available from October 1, 2024 to January 2, 2025. We hope that they extend this date range, but in the meantime, if you’re interested in a Ford electric vehicle, visit Jeff Belzer’s Ford in New Prague, MN or contact us online.
